Wenatchee Higher Perspective-Apple Blossom Print 2025 study piece

Wenatchee Higher Perspective-Apple Blossom Print 2025 study piece
For 2025 Apple Blossom print I created this study as the first version of “Wenatchee- A Higher Perspective”. This piece using rainbow colors to celebrate God’s promises over His creation and original heart and intention for this land and people. This higher perspective from above the cross structure on Wenatchee Heights (captured by friends Jason and Heidi Loewen who took to the air to capture for me!) where we can see much of the valley is thought provoking. With this abstract color and line perspective I wanted to cause the viewer to ‘get back to basics’ and think about our valley from a different space and time and allow hope to rise for the purposes and beauty of this land and people.
This painting is from the Northwest series done in mixed media, which were created as a type of ‘living prayer’ for the places around the valley I grew up in, as well as other Northwest destinations that have had special meaning and are close to my heart. Mountains have always fascinated me with the strength and beauty they represent and inspire me to create. I hope this series creates a connection for you with the peace and beauty of this part of the Northwest I call home.
