One of my favorite things is spring in the Cashmere Valley. Looking toward balsamroots and green hills, they are alive with color and a river running through it. Sunsets and Sunrises are epic looking toward the mountains and every single one painted in the sky differently by The Creator of all things, is always fun to try and capture with my little paintbrush and pigment.

This painting is from the Northwest series done in mixed media, which were created as a type of ‘living prayer’ for the places around the valley I grew up in, as well as other Northwest destinations that have had special meaning and are close to my heart. Mountains have always fascinated me with the strength and beauty they represent and inspire me to create. I hope this series creates a connection for you with the peace and beauty of this part of the Northwest I call home.
