I have been longing to paint the newest word that has stood out to me from Psalm 91 lately. Calling my name, ‘abide’ is similar to 'Rest' . This word creates such peace and stirring in my heart. I love imagining the nurturing cover of Father God surrounding me like shelter as I choose to step under His protective wing. It's an invitation like rest, just as in John 15:5 Jesus brings us back to this image of abiding in Him like fruit branches on the vine. I chose the pinks and purple colors as well as copper to represent that intimacy and color of fruit on the vine. He always invites. And knows what we need. In this crazy time of all being unknown, He is the ultimate security-just waiting for us to run to Him for it!
Today I hope you find rest as you abide under His wing.
