So thankful for this valley! My kids get tired of hearing it, but we live in a GORGEOUS corner of the world! I've been longing to start a small series of paintings of Wenatchee from my childhood perspective and this is the first. I don't believe I have EVER drawn this view before! I’m not sure why, but growing up I was never very inspired to paint landscapes, until this year! It was fun to dream with God all the good things He has blowing into Wenatchee Valley while creating this piece.

I started creating flower pictures representing the daughters of God who are trapped in slavery all over this globe. It's also been a long time since I realized I am a true daughter of God as well but still need to dwell in that everyday truth!
I finally finished this simple but large rose picture, that is a rose for America's national flower. Yes, people are always shocked to hear how many young women are being trafficked every year in and through America's borders. Hundreds of thousands of daughters.
But thanks to God it is being exposed and confronted.
This rose picture sat for a long time on white without the words. I asked God so many times for Him to help me finish it and nothing seemed like the right thing to fill in the background, just to have it filled. Simply clean. And white. The rose blooming into the white that surrounds it. Vulnerable all by itself there.The balance was still missing something though.
Recently God has been bringing to the forefront how many women and girls,including myself, that no matter how long or even if we know God as Father or not, daily need the reminder that we ARE beloved. And we are His daughter. A universal hearts desire in every culture.In any situation. That similarly connects us. So as much as I struggled with adding any words to the flower series of pictures, I finally surrendered in excitement actually and just knew each flower in the series needed this thread of Truth through all,declaring Beloved Daughter.In every language. I can't wait to add to each piece. A fun little extra 'of course', that I realized Only after I finished,was My Glory Rose who is adopted from China, who has taught me so much about being a beloved adopted daughter of God. I pray these two potent,life changing words reach the deepest part of your heart today where you need to receive them. Beloved. And think of how we are all beautifully connected.

Declaring His promises that never fail over you in this painting. All promises of God are ‘Yes and Amen’ according to the all faithful One. From the bow full of color God used to represent His promises and faithfulness to Noah, the rainbow continues to speak today the same truth. On some pieces I create have the paint splattered outside the circle wildly and this one in particular it seemed appropriate as His promises as well as His love cannot be contained. They exist eternally. I hope that this piece speaks to you more than the word that is written. I hope it is an invitation to trust and hope and hold on to His goodness as you wait to see your promises come to pass.
